our beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God- infallible and authoritative- by which we must live.
                                                                                                   ( 2 Timothy 3:15-17)

We believe
there is one god (the godhead), eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and god the holy spirit
                                                      (Matthew 28:19-20; romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9)

we believe
in the deity of our lord Jesus Christ: his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the father and his future return to this earth.
                                   (Matthew 1:18-25, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 john 2:2, acts 2:31-35)

we believe
that you must be born again through repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ to receive eternal salvation.
                                                                                                                  (john 3:16)

we believe
and encourage all believers to follow Jesus' example of water baptism and to be baptized by immersion in water, after accepting Jesus Christ as their savior.

we believe
and encourage all believers to receive the baptism of the holy spirit, and to exercise their spiritual gifts as the holy spirit gives utterance (speaking and praying in tongues), to the edification of the believer and the body of Christ, which is given to all who ask in faith.
                                                                                 (acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12:7-10)

we believe
in the sanctifying power of the holy spirit by who Christians are
enabled to live a holy life which is god's standard of living for his people.
                                                                                                                (1 peter 1:2)

we believe
in the partaking of the lord's supper, also known as communion.
                                                                                              (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

we believe
that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ through the cross provides divine healing of the human body in answer to the prayer of faith.
                                                                                                              (1 peter 2:24)

we believe
in the blessed hope, also known as the pre-millennial, taking away of the saints (rapture) of the church
                                                                                            (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
